How to make the best choice between Black and Corten

There’s no accounting for taste. Which OFYR model you choose is very personal and depends on what you want for your outdoor space. The Corten and Black models form the basis of our collection. It is not always easy to choose between them, as both have a timeless design. Whichever you choose, you will have a unique culinary experience with each appliance. And even when not in use, your OFYR will enhance your outdoor space like a true work of art.

OFYR Corten

Corten steel models can be used in almost any outdoor environment, as the material gives the appliances a natural and elegant look. Corten is the material of choice when you want the cooking unit or furniture to blend in with the surroundings. As all OFYR cooking appliances are designed for outdoor use, they will naturally rust. Oil splashes can leave marks on the Corten steel that cannot be removed. If you oil the base, the splashes will blend into the new layer of oil. This will darken the base, but will give it a more classic look and feel over time.

OFYR Black

With their sleek and stylish design, the Black models are a popular choice for modern and contemporary gardens. By combining several units, the outdoor area is given an elegant finish, with each unit adding a design element. Almost all cooking units and furniture are available in black coated steel, with the exception of the OFYR 75, OFYR XL and OFYR Trailer. In the PRO collection, the appliances can be combined with a teak handle or wooden inserts. The black-coated steel is slightly more susceptible to minor damage, such as scratches, so the units require a little more care. OFYR supplies a repair kit with each black-coated steel model, which allows the user to easily repair small blemishes at home.
